The learning process begins at birth and educators in our Nursery focus on developing close partnerships with families. This important relationship is key to helping children as they settle into the Figtree care environment. Educators work to form secure attachments with each child and value the importance of play based learning and the use of routines to help children on their developmental journey.

Care and attention is given to creating a warm, safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for your child.

Routines such as feeding, resting and nappy changing are significant elements in the day and these provide positive opportunities for learning and time for quality adult-child interactions. The development of each child’s independence and self-esteem are regarded as essential goals for all children. Learning experiences that help develop skills are provided in a supportive and enriched environment and interwoven throughout the day. We also dedicate time to musical experiences and opportunities to develop communication skills.

Open communication between educators and parents is essential as the children’s development is fostered when there are positive relationships and open communication among those adults responsible for each child’s health and well-being.

It is our goal to ensure that babies, infants and their families feel ‘at home’ at Figtree Early Learning Centre.
